St.5  Koldedalen cabin to Ingerdbu cabin via Morka-Koldedalen Valley
5 hours / 10km
150m / 650m
Unmarked route with some steep snow sections in the summer. In the winter and spring this route is prone to avalanche and should not be used.

From the private Koldedalen cabin head west over a footbridge and across the open valley up to the deep saddle between Falketind and Hjelledalstind. Cross the saddle and reach a lake.

The route goes round the north side of the lake climbing up and down 3 or 4 spurs for a km to reach the west end of the lake. This traverse round the north of the lake  are prone to avalanche in the winter and spring and possible rockfall in the summer.

Just before the end of the lake there is a deep snow filled gully. This is best crossed near the shore and an ice-axe is essential here. After an easy 200m across boulders to the end of the lake another lake Andrevatnet appears. Drop down to this lake and follow its north shore across scree and possible snow drifts towards the end of the lake.

Before the end of the lake climb up over a spur to gain a valley with another lake, Fyrstevatnet. Again go round the north side of this small lake and descend through a small gorge to reach a short flat area with a slow river. At the end of this flat area the river goes over a waterfall. Descend its north flank and then head through heather into the forest.

Keep well north of the river for 3 km as you descend through the lush flower filled forest with the odd side stream to jump before you reach Ingjerdbu cabin
