Nordre Maradalstind, 2160m, is climbed with some difficulty from Skagastølsbu shelter or Turtagrø Hotel.
It is not an easy peak by any means and involves crossing a fissured glacier and some climbing up to grade IV.
It is usually climbed in conjunction with an ascent of Sentraltind via Maradals ridge and a description of that is given above in the alternative route section.
