Oenanthe oenanthe, Wheatear, Steinskvett. 15cm.
A common summer visitor found throughout the mountains, especially in open, stony moorlands.
They are active birds always on the move. They nest in holes in the ground or walls, and the nest is a cuplike grass construction.
In the summer they subsist off insects and their larvae, especially spiders.
Female birds have a brown back in contrast to the steel grey of the male.
