Moss
There are numerous types of mosses found in the mountains, moorlands and forests of Scandinavia.

Most belong to the Musci class and have no roots or vascular tissues, and therefore can only grow in wet conditions where the vegetative parts can absorb water directly.

Mosses are usually found in large colonies of plants forming mats beside streams or below large snowfields.
