20.4 Nordtoppen 2097m

Giebmegáisi north top, 2097m. This is a difficult top indeed. It is most usually climbed from the south top over a exposed and often corniced ice ridge where snow and ice protection are essential. Alternatively it can be climbed from the north as part of the traverse of the main massif as briefly described above. The former route is the easier. The starting place for either ascent will pass through Kebnekaise fjällstation (lodge) and it will be prudent to inquire about the current condition of the peak.
