St.4  Tyinholmen to Koldedalen cabin
2 hours / 7km
140m / 60m
Unmarked but obvious. In the winter a route marked with twig poles passes near the road for all but the last km.

There is a rough road from Tyinholmen lodge to Koldedalen cabin. This road is passable by car late in the summer but is a non-maintained dirt road with some deep ruts and holes. Furthermore the snow drifts on the road are not cleared and do not melt until mid to late summer. Consequently it is usually only possible to drive to the cabin in late summer. There is limited parking along the road but plenty at the cabin.

If one chooses to walk the road the route is obvious. It goes along the north side of Lake Tyin for 2 km before crossing the Koldedøla river twice on simple bridges. The road then climbs above the river and follows it on the east side for 3 km until it you get to Koldedalsvatnet Lake.

The road then follows the east shore of this lake for 3 km, crossing another simple bridge over a torrent. The most persistent snowdrift is just after this bridge and about a km before the cabin, where the path to Ingjerdbu via Fleskedalen Valley St.6 starts.
