White Wagtail
A common visitor to the mountain birch and willow scrub zones.

An early spring arrival, it picks insects off snowfields. In the summer they subsist on insects picked off the ground.

They are fast runners and dart over the ground quickly in search insects.

They nest in holes and ledges just above the ground, which are lined by the females with moss, grass and feathers.
