There is a path up Ringsdalen valley. This path is initially well marked for 3km but becomes fainter as the boulder fields are reached. This 3km section of the path is very easy and pleasant. The path eventually climbs steeply up crags on the eastern headwall of the corrie to reach the edge of the Ringsbreen glacier.
From here various routes continue up each of the three Ringstinden mountains or over two saddles and down into the remoter southern valleys of Hurrungane. For further details see any of the three Ringstind descriptions or see Route Hu.18.
